Miss World Beauty Pageant Bans Bikini Wears Starting From 2015

The organizing committee of the Miss World Beauty Pageant has announced that there will be no more swimsuits starting from next year's edition of the contest.

Miss world bans bikini, Miss world contestants

This decision was made in an effort to make contestants feel they have something to offer and not appearing as walking bodies.

The pageant which was founded in 1951 had developed to become something more of an opportunity where girls display their unclad bodies but thanks to this new development, it should help pass a positive message to the youth (young girls) and give them a positive mentality towards their appearance.

In a brief chat with Elle, chairman Julia Morley had this to say:
"I really don't understand why women would be walking up and down in bikinis. It doesn't do anything good for the woman and it adds nothing positive to our lives.
"I don't care if someone has a bottom two inches bigger than someone else's, it does not and should not matter here.
"We are really not looking for a woman with a bottom. We are interested in listening to her speak. We don't want to just make them feel like they are walking bodies, you know?"
Well said boss. I wish every other country would adopt this new policy.
