Mother Roasts 10-year-old Son’s Buttocks Because He Threw Food Away

A woman was arrested on charges of child abuse after allegedly burning her son’s behind with a lighter because he threw away his food, police in Japan said. 

 Wakayama Police said that they arrested 32-year-old Akiko Nakao, for abusing her 10-year-old son with a cigarette lighter.

Child investigators found burn marks on the child’s behind and on other body parts.

The investigation was launched when the mother brought the child to a hospital after he fell down a flight of stairs, injuring his head.

Hospital staff found burn marks and bruises on the child and informed the police who questioned the child’s parents.

Nakao admitted that over the past several years she often burns the child with a lighter because he throws away food he does not like.
