The film, shot in and around the city of Johannesburg tells the story of Muzi, played by newcomer Nyaniso Dzedze, the son of a renowned township pantsula dancer who was killed at a street dance under suspicious circumstances.

It takes you through Muzi’s journey as he learns the truth about his father’s death and uncovers other secrets about his family. You also get to watch him grow and transform as a dancer as he goes from being a solo street dancer to being a member of a crew – a tough and emotional experience, illustrated beautifully through passionate dance sequences.

The film features several fresh faces and more experienced cast members.

Scottnes Smith, the film’s director, describes the film as the story of a “young, free, vibrant, sexy and energetic South Africa” and as a film that speaks about, is for and made by young South Africans.
