A mother has been jailed after she allowed her boyfriend to rape her baby.
According to the Police, the mother admitted that she knew that her boyfriend was a registered s'ex offender, who has been jailed for sexually assaulting a minor.
26-year-old Jessica Lynn Howell of O’Fallon, Missouri, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for encouraging her boyfriend to sexually assault her baby since she was just 4 weeks old.
According to reports, when Ashlynn Lillith Peters was just 4 months old she died while being sexually assaulted, and Howell pleaded guilty to felony abuse of a child and felony murder for the incident.
Police said that the baby was beaten and strangled to stop her from crying during the rape, adding that she also suffered severe internal injuries.
According to court documents, the mother sent a series of text messages to her boyfriend, Jordan Lafayette Prince, when the baby was only a month old, encouraging him to have sexual contact with her daughter.
Prince, who was also jailed for the murder of the baby, is awaiting trial.
He was charged with first-degree murder, child abuse and forcible sodomy in connection with the death of Peters.
